Cooking Recipe

For a recipe for frozen strawberries for the winter it is better to use medium fruits, but you can also use small or large ones. Ripe strawberries need to be sorted out, tails removed, transferred to a sieve or colander and rinsed well. There is often a lot of sand in strawberries, to get rid of it, fill the strawberries with water for 15-30 minutes, and then remove the berries with a slotted spoon. All the sand will settle to the bottom, for reliability, you can rinse the strawberries again.

Dry the washed strawberries for freezing by laying them out on a towel, and then transfer them to a storage container. Containers for storing strawberries must be with lids, if there are no lids, they can be tightly wrapped with cling film. It is not necessary to buy special containers for freezing; every housewife has a couple of plastic boxes from under something.

Strawberries do not need to be tamped into a container or they may be accidentally crushed. After packing the strawberries, immediately place them in the freezer and forget them until winter. Frozen strawberries can be safely stored until the next harvest.
