Frozen dill – a food preservation recipe for the winter, dill greens are not a problem in our time – you can buy it all year round, and you can also grow it yourself on the windowsill, but there are times when you need it urgently, but there is no dill. In such cases, you can remove the previously frozen dill from the freezer and add it to a soup, salad, or other dish. Frozen dill feels very good, after defrosting it will again smell with its aromas, and remind of summer with its taste.

Cooking Recipe

To make a food preservation recipe for the winter frozen dill, wash fresh dill well, let the water drain, or better shake it off – so the liquid will drain faster. Put the slightly dried dill on a board, separate the stems, and finely chop the greens.

For freezing dill, and indeed greens in general, it is better to use small bags. Put the chopped dill in the prepared bags, close and transfer to the freezer. When using, break off a small amount of frozen dill from the resulting briquette and use to cook various dishes, salads or sauces.
