Peasant onion soup – Mexican cuisine recipe, simple and hearty soup, reminiscent of the famous French onion soup.

Butter 3 tbsp
Chicken Broth 600 ml
Wheat Flour 2 tbsp
Cream 15% 2 cups
Long Loaf 3 slice
Hard Cheese 100 g
Egg Yolk 1 pcs

Cooking Recipe

For the peasant onion soup recipe, heat 2 tbsp in a heavy bottomed saucepan. butter, add finely chopped onion and simmer over low heat under the lid for 15-20 minutes. Pour broth into a saucepan with onions and bring to a boil. Whisking constantly, add flour, salt and pepper. Then pour in the cream, mix and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
