Beet kvass – a recipe for a drink of Russian cuisine, beetroot kvass is very healthy, you can drink it, or you can make beetroot soup (cold soup) from it.
Cooking Recipe
For the Russian recipe for beet kvass, peel the beets, finely chop or grate.
Pour the crushed beets with water, add sugar, bread, cover with gauze and set aside for fermentation for 3 days.
For beet kvass, it is better to take red, without streaks, sweet beets. Otherwise, it is necessary to increase the amount of sugar added to beet kvass and add a small amount of yeast to the kvass.
After three days, strain kvass, bottle, cork and refrigerate.
