Cocoa powder is dry crushed cocoa cake that remains after the production of cocoa butter, the raw material for dark chocolate. Since cocoa powder is a by-product of chocolate production, its cost is relatively small. Due to this, and also because of its unique taste, cocoa powder is widely used in cooking for the preparation of confectionery, drinks and other dishes.
