Cake "Potato" Recipe
For the potato cake recipe, you need to prepare a biscuit a day in advance. Separate the whites from the yolks. Grind the yolks with sugar, and beat the whites into a thick, strong foam. Mix flour with starch and sift. Gently combine the whites with the yolks, and then, gradually pouring flour, mix until smooth.
Cover a baking sheet with paper, put the dough on it and put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool the finished biscuit cake and leave at room temperature for a day. After that, break the biscuit into pieces and grind into crumbs with a blender or grate on a regular grater.
The cream must be prepared immediately before use. Beat softened butter with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until white. When the mass becomes white and fluffy, gradually pour in the condensed milk, then pour in the cognac, rum and beat well.
Stir the cream into the biscuit crumbs and knead thoroughly. Form 10 oblong cakes from the resulting mass. In a separate bowl, mix powdered sugar and cocoa. Roll the prepared cakes in the dry mixture, set aside for 1-2 minutes and repeat the rolling. Cake "Potato" is ready.
