Beetroot pigment - a recipe for making a natural dye. You can make yellow dye from carrots in the same way. This coloring is used when preparing paste, adding it to dough or cream for cakes. You can also dilute it with a small amount of water and prepare safe paint for children to paint.

Recipe Ingredients

Beets 3 pcs

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for beetroot pigment is very simple. Wash the beets well using a brush. Do not cut off the skin. You can cut the beets into thin slices using a lyre.

Next, the beets need to be dried well. You can do this by laying out the circles in one layer and drying them outside in the shade. You can do this in the dryer, or you can do it in the oven at low temperature.

When the beets are completely dry and brittle, transfer them to a coffee grinder and grind them into dust.

In order for beet pigment to be more homogeneous, it must be sifted through a fine sieve; what is not sifted can be ground again in a coffee grinder.
