Dill salting – dill preservation recipe for the winter, before there were no high-quality freezers where you can freeze greens, and then use. Therefore, in order to cook dill for the winter, it was dried or salted, and then added to soups, salads and various sauces. With the right ratio of salt and dill, it can be stored normally in a pantry at room temperature. Dill should be placed in jars very tightly, practically tamped so that there is as little air as possible.

Recipe Ingredients

Dill 100 g
Salt 1 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

To cook a salting dill recipe for the winter, wash the herbs well and shake off excess liquid. When the dill is dry, chop it finely and mix with salt.

Put dill and salt in a sterilized jar. Do not pour right away, add in small portions and use a crush to tamp the dill more tightly. If you pour everything into a jar at once, it will not work well to tamp, air may remain and salted dill may turn sour.
