Pepper stuffed with cabbage – the recipe for the Ukrainian cuisine, the pepper is stuffed with red cabbage, it gives the pepper not only taste, but also a red color. It is very simple to cook stuffed peppers, and then the stuffed peppers can be covered with nylon lids and stored in a cool place or in the refrigerator, or can be sealed with tin lids and stored in the pantry.

Recipe Ingredients

Bell Pepper 6-8 pcs
Vinegar 9% 70 ml
Salt 40 g
Caraway 0.5 tsp
For Marinade
Water 1 l
Salt 30 g
Vinegar 9% 70 ml

Cooking Recipe

For a recipe for Ukrainian cuisine, pepper stuffed with cabbage, peel the stalks and seeds from the bell pepper, pour boiling water for 3-5 minutes, and then let the water drain.

Finely chop the red cabbage, sprinkle with salt, pour over with vinegar, mix, press down slightly, and set aside for 24 hours. After the time has elapsed, mix the cabbage with the caraway seeds and stuff the pepper with it.

Put the stuffed peppers in dry sterilized jars with the open side up, in each jar put one bay leaf, 2-3 black peppercorns and pour hot marinade. For the marinade, add salt to the water, pour in vinegar, put on fire and let it boil for 1 minute.

Jars with stuffed peppers cover and sterilize, 1 liter jars - 35-40 minutes.

After sterilization, seal the stuffed peppers, turn the jars upside down, cover with a blanket and allow to cool completely, and then transfer the jars with stuffed peppers to a cool storage place.
