Raisin buns - a recipe of Ukrainian cuisine, airy and soft buns can be stored for a long time and not stale. The recipe is very interesting, part of the flour is steamed in milk, which makes the buns so soft.

For raisin buns, pour 150 g of flour with hot milk, mix and let cool. Dilute the yeast in a small amount of warm milk, pour into the cooled steamed flour, mix and put in heat for 1 hour. Grind sugar with vanilla sugar and yolks.
Add the pounded yolks to the batter that has come up, mix and, while kneading, gradually add the rest of the sifted flour.
Beat egg whites with salt until stiff and fold gently into the batter. Knead the dough until it pulls away from your hands. Put the kneaded dough in a warm place for another 1 hour.
Rinse the raisins well, melt the butter and let it cool. Add raisins to the risen dough, pour in the oil and knead for 10 minutes. Divide the well-kneaded dough into small pieces and shape into buns.
Line a baking sheet with paper, put the dough on it and set aside for 20 minutes. After raisin buns, place in preheated 180°C (355°F) oven and bake for 15 -20 minutes. Sprinkle finished buns with powdered sugar.
