Herring in sour-sweet marinade is a Swedish recipe, this method is very good for quick herring cooking.

Recipe Ingredients

Herring 2 pcs
Vegetable Oil 230 ml
Sugar 1 tbsp
Mustard 2 tbsp
Honey 1 tbsp
White Pepper 1 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For the herring in sweet and sour marinade recipe, cut the fish into fillets and remove the bones.

Mix sugar with vinegar and mustard until sugar dissolves. After pour in vegetable oil, honey and add ground white pepper.

Cut the herring fillet into slices of approximately 2-3 cm. Pour the prepared dressing over the herring fillet and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Before serving, herring can be sprinkled with finely chopped dill or green onions.
