Powidla semolina pudding (Povidlyanka) is a pie made from jam and semolina. Jam for the pie, you can take any to your taste. You can also use jam, but since the jam is thinner, the cake will take longer to bake. If you cook a cake for children, wine can be replaced with juice.

Recipe Ingredients

Powidla 600 g
Semolina 200 g
Eggs 5 pcs
Sugar 3 tbsp
Butter 50 g
Red Wine 3 tbsp
Honey 1 tbsp
Walnut 1 cup

Cooking Recipe

For powidla semolina pudding grind the yolks with 2 tbsp. sugar, and beat the whites in a lush foam. Add jam, wine, semolina to the yolks and mix well. Then carefully fold in the beaten egg whites. Grind the nuts in a mortar or with a blender and add to the dough.

Pour batter into greased baking dish and smooth out. Sprinkle the remaining sugar on top and pour over the honey evenly. Place the prepared pie in a preheated 180°C (355°F) oven for 30-40 minutes. If jam is used instead of jam, bake povidlyanka at 140 degrees for about 60-80 minutes.
