Potato börek – a Turkish cuisine recipe, potato berek is served hot as an independent dish or as a side dish for fish or meat.

Recipe Ingredients

Potatoes 1 kg
Hard Cheese 100 g
Eggs 3 pcs
Butter 2 tbsp
Walnut 1 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For the potato börek recipe, wash and boil the potatoes in their skins, then peel and mash. Add butter, grated cheese, crushed nuts to mashed potatoes, knead everything well, and, without ceasing to knead, add one yolk at a time.

Separately, with a pinch of salt, beat the proteins until a strong foam and gently mix with the main mass. Spread the prepared potato mixture onto a paper-lined baking sheet and bake at 180°C (355°F) for 25-30 minutes. After baking börek brush with butter, cut into squares and serve hot.
