Rosehip Kissel – a recipe for a Ukrainian drink, jelly can be prepared from any fruit or berry, why not make it from rose hips. Kissel can be served both warm and cold.

Recipe Ingredients

Rose Hip 1 cup
Water 1 l
Sugar 5 tbsp
Potato Starch 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For a recipe such as rosehip jelly, rinse the rosehips, sort through, pour hot water and cook under the lid for 15 minutes. Leave the drink to infuse for 6 hours, and then strain.

Pour sugar into the strained broth and put on medium heat. In a separate bowl, dilute starch with a small amount of chilled broth. When the broth boils and the sugar dissolves, without ceasing to stir, add starch, bring to a boil and remove from heat. Ready rosehip jelly pour into mugs or glasses and serve.
