Watermelon cocktail is an Italian recipe, a great light cocktail for the weekend. You can replace the champagne with any sparkling wine, you can use white wine, you can add a small amount of rum. The watermelon pulp can be prepared in advance a few hours and stored in the refrigerator, but the ready cocktail should be served immediately after preparation.

Watermelon 150 g
Champagne 60 ml
Lime 0,5 pcs

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for watermelon cocktail is very simple. Wash the watermelon and cut off the rind, wash the lime well with a brush and dry it, wash the mint and dry it.

Using a hand blender, make a puree from the watermelon pulp. You will need 60 g of watermelon puree for each glass. Remove the zest from the lime using a grater, then cut it in half and squeeze out the juice.

Pour sugar into the prepared glass, add 3-5 mint leaves, lime zest and stir, pressing down a little, but not too much. The mint should not turn into mush.

Then add ice to the glass, pour in lime juice and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add watermelon pulp and pour in champagne. Stir again.

Then pour in mineral water, garnish with mint leaves or lime. Cocktail is ready, ready to serve.
