Sun-dried tomatoes can be bought at the supermarket, but why spend extra money if you can make sun-dried tomatoes yourself – it's very easy, and later you can cook various delicious recipes from them.

To cook an Italian cuisine recipe sun-dried tomatoes, wash the tomatoes, dry and cut in half lengthwise.

Remove seeds and liquid from each half. Place the chopped tomatoes on a baking sheet, sprinkle with salt, pepper and olive oil. If possible, you should try to pour oil over each tomato slice.

Place a baking sheet with tomatoes in the oven, preheated to 100°C (210°F), and dry for 3-5 hours. Then put sun-dried tomatoes into a jar, pour vegetable or olive oil, close the lid and store in a cool place.
