Chickpeas and rice is an absolutely vegetarian dish; in Armenia, such a dish is often prepared during fasting.

Recipe Ingredients

Rice 100 g
Chickpeas 100 g
Vegetable Oil 1-2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for chickpeas and rice does not require much skill. Soak chickpeas for 4-5 hours, and then boil. Mix boiled chickpeas with boiled rice.

Heat the oil in a separate saucepan and add the chickpeas and rice mixture. Mix well and simmer over low heat for 3 minutes. Serve hot or warm.
