For the cabbage pie recipe, defrost the puff pastry. Chop the cabbage, sprinkle with salt and mash well so that it starts up the juice. Put the cabbage in a roasting pan, cover with a lid and simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes.

When the cabbage is soft enough, remove the lid and simmer until all the liquid has evaporated. Pepper and pour in one beaten egg, while the cabbage must be mixed. After the egg has spread evenly throughout the cabbage, remove from heat.

Roll out the puff pastry, lay out the filling and form a pie. Brush the surface of pie with egg and bake at 220°C (430°F) for 40 minutes.
