Pea nuts in Armenia are prepared from such peas as chickpeas - it gives this dish a richer and more interesting taste. If you add 2-3 drops of saffron infusion to pea nuts, the dish will become much more aromatic and tastier.

Recipe Ingredients

Chickpeas 100 g
Walnut 50 g
Raisins 50 g
Cardamom 1 pcs

Cooking Recipe

For the pea nuts recipe, chickpeas need to be soaked for 4-5 hours, and then boiled. After the chickpeas are cooked, grind them in a blender or meat grinder with the addition of nuts and raisins.

Add an infusion of Imeretian saffron (optional) and chopped cardamom. Roll the resulting mass into small balls the size of a walnut. Serve pea nuts on parsley leaves.
