Remove the puff pastry from the freezer ahead of time so that it is soft and pliable when you work with it. Roll out the dough into a layer 5 mm thick, and then cut into strips 5 cm wide. You can cut it with an ordinary knife or a curly roller. Wrap the prepared chicken thighs with puff pastry and place on a greased baking sheet. Lubricate the surface of the thigh with a beaten egg with 2 tbsp. water and put in an oven preheated to 180°С (355°F). Bake chicken thighs in puff pastry for 1 hour, then transfer to a lettuce leaf and serve hot.
