Lamb bozartma - a recipe for Azerbaijani cuisine, bozartma is made from lamb, beef or poultry. If there is no cherry plum, then it can be replaced with unsweetened varieties of plums. Lamb meat is sweetish, therefore, for a more pronounced taste, the dish is poured with lemon juice.

Lamb 330 g
Onion 1 pcs
Tomatoes 2 pcs
Cherry Plum 3-4 pcs
Cucumbers 1 pcs
Ghee 30 g
Lemon 1/4 pcs

Cooking Recipe

To cook a recipe of Azerbaijani cuisine lamb bozartma, wash the meat and cut into pieces weighing approximately 50-60 g. Cut the tomatoes into large slices, peel and finely chop the onion.

Heat the melted butter in a frying pan and put the chopped lamb. Fry the meat until golden brown.

Transfer the fried meat to a deep thick-walled dish, add chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, cherry plum, chopped cilantro, dill and mint. If necessary, you can add a small amount of broth. Simmer bozartma over low heat until the meat is completely cooked and soft. Ready lamb bozartma put on a dish, put a slice of lemon and chopped fresh cucumber on top.
