Easter Orthodox – a recipe for a festive dish of Russian cuisine, Easter is prepared from cottage cheese with the addition of candied fruit. Such an Easter was always prepared for the Great Day.

- Cottage cheese 1 kg
- Egg yolk 5 pcs
- Butter 250 g
- Candied fruits 100 g
- Sugar 300 g
- Cream 15% 250 ml
- Vanilla sugar 2 tsp
Easter Orthodox Recipe
For the recipe Orthodox Easter - a festive dish according to the recipe of Russian cuisine, rub the cottage cheese through a sieve. Beat the yolks until white with sugar. Bring the cream to a boil and slowly pour into the egg yolks, whisking constantly. Also, without ceasing to beat, we introduce chilled butter in small portions. When the mass becomes homogeneous, stir in the cottage cheese, vanilla and candied fruits.
Line the form for Easter with gauze, put the curd mass into it, cover with the edges of the gauze, put a not very heavy load on top and put it in the cold for 10-12 hours. During this time, all excess liquid will come out of the curd mass.
After 10-12 hours, remove the load, remove the edges of the gauze, gently turn Easter onto a dish, remove the form and then the gauze. Easter can be decorated with fresh or frozen fruits, or candied fruits.
