Turkish samsa with chicken and cheese – excellent samsa made from delicate shortcrust pastry with juicy chicken filling. The dough is prepared with the addition of sour cream, which makes it tender and airy. Very interesting filling, which includes chicken, tomatoes, cheese and onions.

Recipe Ingredients

Sour Cream 200 ml
Wheat Flour 375 g
Baking Powder 1,5 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
For the filling
Hard Cheese 100 g
Onion 1 pcs
Tomatoes 1 pcs
Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for Turkish samsa with chicken and cheese is very simple. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Grate butter and rub into crumbs with flour. Add sour cream to flour and knead the dough. Cover the dough with film and leave to rest for 30 minutes.

Cut the chicken fillet into 1 cm cubes. Chop the onion and cheese in the same way. Mix the chicken fillet, cheese, onion, vegetable oil, add salt, pepper and stir.

Roll out the rested dough into a layer 5 mm thick, and then cut into squares with sides of 5-6 cm.

Place the filling and a slice of tomato in the center of the dough square and form the samsa into a boat shape.

Place the prepared samsa on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush the yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake samsa with chicken at 180°C (355°F) for 30-35 minutes.
