Mackerel on an onion pillow - a recipe for cooking a dish of Turkish cuisine, this cooking of mackerel is very interesting. Mackerel is laid out not in a pan, but on an onion, which makes it possible to steam the mackerel and gives it flavor and softness. This method of cooking mackerel can be used by people who are not recommended to eat fried foods. When frying, the juice from the mackerel flows onto the onion and thus prevents it from frying too much.

Milk 150 ml

Cooking Recipe

To cook the recipe of Turkish cuisine mackerel on an onion pillow, wash the mackerel, remove the head, skeleton and bones. It is not necessary to remove the skin from the fish. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Then pour in milk or cream and simmer under the lid for another 15 minutes. Ready mackerel can be served with boiled potatoes, pasta or fresh vegetables
