When serving, the smashed cucumbers can be sprinkled with sesame seeds or fried peanuts.

Recipe Ingredients

Cucumbers 1 kg
Sugar 1 tsp
Garlic 2 cloves
Hot Pepper 0,5-1 pcs
Sesame Oil 1 tsp
Ginger 1 cm

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for smashed cucumbers is very simple. Wash the cucumbers and beat them with whatever you like. To make it easier to beat them, you can cut them in half lengthwise. Then cut or break the cucumbers into small pieces. Transfer the cucumbers to a deep bowl, sprinkle with sugar and set aside.

While the cucumbers are releasing juice, prepare the remaining ingredients. Peel and finely chop the ginger, chop the garlic as well. If desired, remove the seeds from the pepper and cut into rings, finely chop the greens.

When the cucumbers release juice, drain the liquid and mix the cucumbers with the prepared ingredients. Add vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt and mix. When serving, the smashed cucumbers can be sprinkled with peanuts or sesame seeds.
