Sausage Bread – Korean food recipe, very popular in Korean bakeries. This is not the sausage in dough that many are accustomed to. It's like pizza, but with the addition of corn, green onions, mayonnaise and a very interesting presentation. This is a great snack or even lunch, as the pastry with sausage and other ingredients is very filling. If you are not going to eat everything at once, after cooking the bread can be wrapped in film and frozen, and when needed, take it out and reheat in the oven or microwave.

Milk 0,5 cup
Sugar 2 tbsp
Dry Yeast 2 tsp
Chicken Eggs 1 pcs
Wheat Flour 430 g
Salt 0,25 tsp

Canned Corn 1/3 cup
Bell Pepper 1/3 cup
Green Onions 1/3 cup
Marjoram 1/4 cup
Ketchup 1/3 cup
For egg wash
Chicken Eggs 1 pcs
Water 1/4 cup

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for sausage bread is very simple. Melt the butter, add sugar and salt. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, and then, when the butter has cooled slightly, add salt, eggs, yeast and warm milk. Mix everything and gradually, adding flour, knead the dough. Cover the dough with film and place in a warm place for one hour. When the dough has doubled in size, knead, divide into 5 parts and cover with film.

While the dough is rising, prepare the remaining ingredients. Finely chop the green onions, remove the seeds from the sweet pepper and also finely chop. In a bowl, mix corn, onion and mayonnaise. Cut the mozzarella into small pieces.

Roll out the dough ball into a rectangle, place the sausage on it and wrap it, pinch the edges. It is necessary that the dough completely covers the sausage, without gaps. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the prepared sausages.

Then use scissors to make cuts at an angle of 45 degrees, retreating about 0.5 cm. Carefully lifting the cut part up, move it to the left and place it on a baking sheet. Place the next cut piece to the right accordingly. And so on until the end of the sausage.

Place a mixture of corn, green onions and sweet peppers on the surface of the prepared sausages in the dough. Sprinkle diced mozzarella on top.

Do not rush to put the sausage bread in a preheated oven; before doing this, the bread must be poured with ketchup and left in a warm place for 20-30 minutes to rise. Bake sausage bread in an oven preheated to 180°С (355°F) for 20 minutes. After removing, brush with a mixture of eggs and water, place in the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.
