Vegetarian crab is a Chinese recipe. Vegetarian crab has nothing to do with real crabs, but potatoes, carrots and spices can mimic crab meat very well, and sprinkled with pine nuts, we get a healthy and nutritious dish.

Recipe Ingredients

Potatoes 500 g
Carrots 150 g
Pine Nuts 2 tbsp
Green Peas 100 g
Dried Turnip 2 tbsp
Eggs 3 pcs
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Oyster Sauce 2 tsp
Rice Vinegar 2 tsp
Sesame Oil 2 tsp
Ginger 2 cm

Cooking Recipe

For the vegetarian crab recipe, peel and steam the potatoes for 15 minutes before mashing them. Cut the carrot into very small cubes or rub on a fine grater.

Pour 2 tbsp into the pan. oil and put the prepared carrots, mix and lightly fry. Transfer the fried carrots to the potatoes and mix.

Beat eggs lightly, salt, add vinegar, 1 tsp. sesame oil and mix well. Pour 2 tbsp into the pan. oil, put potatoes with carrots and fry over low heat for 1-2 minutes. Whisking constantly, add the eggs to the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Finely chop half of the ginger, add to the pan with vegetables, then add dried turnips and green peas. Don't stop interfering. Add salt, sugar and oyster sauce to the crab, simmer for another 1-2 minutes.

Next, add the remaining finely chopped ginger, the remaining sesame oil, 1 tsp. vinegar and pine nuts. Mix everything well and remove from heat. Put vegetarian crab on a prepared plate, garnish with carrots, pine nuts and serve.
