Beef Stroganoff - thinly sliced beef in sour cream and tomato sauce, served with fried or boiled potatoes, boiled buckwheat or other cereals. This dish was invented in order to feed as many people as possible with a small piece of meat. And in combination with porridge or potatoes and salad, beef stroganoff turns out to be a very tasty and satisfying dish.

Recipe Ingredients

Beef Meat 500 g
Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp
Wheat Flour 1 tbsp
Onion 2 pcs
Sour Cream 2 tbsp
Tomato Paste 1 tbsp
Meat Broth 100 ml

Cooking Recipe

To cook the recipe Russian cuisine beef stroganoff, wash the meat, remove tendons, cut into slices and beat off. Cut the broken pieces of meat into strips, salt and pepper. Peel the onion and cut into half rings.

Heat the frying pan, add vegetable oil to it and lay out the prepared meat strips. Fry the meat for about 5-6 minutes, over high heat and stirring occasionally, trying to turn over.

In another pan, fry the chopped onion in vegetable oil. Add flour to the onion fried until golden brown and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Mix sour cream with tomato paste, pour into onions, mix, add broth or water and simmer for another 3 minutes.

Mix the onion stewed in tomato sauce with the fried meat, heat for 5 minutes under the lid and the beef stroganoff is ready. When serving, put beef stroganoff on a plate, next to fried or boiled potatoes, or porridge, and serve hot.
