Corn and cottage cheese fritters (Sicheniki) is a national dish of Ukrainian cuisine. Sicheniki look like pancakes, and in some regions they are oval-shaped and rolled in breadcrumbs before frying.

For corn and cottage cheese fritters, it is necessary to sort out the grits, rinse well and pour into cold water. Mix everything well and put on a large fire. After the water boils, reduce the heat and cook until tender, stirring occasionally.
Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve and mix with eggs and sugar. Mix hot cooked corn porridge with cottage cheese.
Using a spoon, put sicheniki on a heated frying pan and fry on both sides in oil. Serve with sour cream or fruit sauce.
