For honey shuliks with poppy seeds grind eggs with 1 tbsp. honey. 1 tbsp Rinse the poppy seeds, pour boiling water over them and leave for 15-20 minutes. After the time has elapsed, drain the water from the poppy and add to the pounded eggs. Add chopped butter there, pour in milk, add soda and mix. Then, gradually adding flour, knead a stiff dough.
Roll out the prepared dough to a thickness of approximately 2 cm, put on a baking sheet and cut into diamonds. Bake at 160°C (320°F) 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
Pour the remaining poppy with boiling water and let it swell for 15-20 minutes. After draining the water, grind the poppy seeds in a mortar and mix with honey. When shuliks are baked, break along the cuts, pour over with a mixture of poppy seeds and honey and let it soak for 30-40 minutes.
