Green rice is the national dish of Mexican cuisine. Thanks to fresh greens, rice is slightly colored, giving the dish an original look.

Recipe Ingredients

Rice 1 cup
Bell Pepper 1 pcs
Onion 1 pcs
Garlic 2 cloves
Cilantro 4 tbsp
Vegetable Oil 3 tbsp
Chicken Broth 2 cups

Cooking Recipe

For green rice recipe, grind pepper, onion, garlic and cilantro with a blender. Fry the mixture in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Rinse rice 3-4 times.

Pour the rest of the oil into the heated frying pan and add the rice. When rice is lightly fried, add it to the mixture of vegetables, pour in the broth, add salt, pepper and simmer for 10 minutes under the lid.
