For the lentil fricassee recipe, pour washed and sorted lentils into the water, add chopped garlic, sliced carrots, finely chopped onion, bay leaf. Cook the lentils over low heat for 1 hour.
Separately, in a frying pan, fry the flour in butter, pour in hot water or broth and mix well with a whisk so that there are no lumps. Salt the sauce, pepper and, stirring constantly, cook until the state of liquid sour cream.
Salt the cooked lentils, if there is water left, drain. Combine the sauce with lentils, mix and simmer lentil fricassee for another 5-7 minutes. Stir and serve the lentil fricassee hot.
