Wine braised beets - a French recipe, wine-soaked beetroot is a good garnish for meat dishes.

Recipe Ingredients

Beets 400 g
Red Wine 100 ml
Garlic 1-2 cloves
Butter 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For the wine braised beetsrecipe, wash the beetroot and cut into circles.

Melt the butter in a hot pan, add the grated garlic and ground nutmeg. After 1-2 minutes, add the beets and fry for 5-6 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Then pour in the wine and simmer until the beets are fully cooked, over low heat. After stewing beets, add salt and pepper.
