Mulled wine (Glühwein) – traditionally served at kiosks at Christmas markets throughout Germany and Austria to keep people warm while shopping and chatting. This recipe is not difficult to make at home, but there are a few tips to keep in mind. Do not let the wine boil or do you want to evaporate alcohol? As a rule, it is heated for 20 minutes. You should not spend a lot of money on expensive wine, any red dry wine is suitable for mulled wine. To give the mulled wine an even more interesting taste and aroma, you can add a small amount of rum or Amaretto liquer to it.
Put the syrup with spices on a slow fire and warm for 1-2 minutes, the spices should open, you will feel their aroma. After pouring the wine and boil, also over low heat, for 20 minutes, make sure that the mulled wine does not boil. Ready mulled wine to pour into glasses or cups and that's all, you can bask and celebrate Christmas.
