Pumpkin-orange jam - a recipe from German cuisine, pumpkin jam may seem incredible to some, but jam is also made from pumpkin. Pumpkin itself is sweet and even cloying, so it would be good to add acid to it; oranges are just right. Oranges will add freshness and lightness to the jam. You can use vanilla sugar or vanilla pods for flavor; extract is also great. If you want thicker jam, cook it longer, pour a teaspoon onto a plate, after a minute the jam will harden. When you tilt the plate, the thickness of the jam will be visible; if it does not flow, then the thickness is just right.
