Bavarian Sauerkraut Salad Recipe
For the German Bavarian Sauerkraut Salad recipe, bring the meat broth to a boil. Finely chop the cabbage, put in a saucepan, pour over the broth, add thyme and bay leaf, cover and put on medium heat. Simmer the cabbage for 20 minutes, and then remove the lid and simmer further until the liquid has completely evaporated.
Melt the butter in a heated frying pan and fry the diced brisket and finely chopped onion in it. The bay leaf is taken out of the cabbage, and add the brisket with onions, mix, add the rest of the spices and cool. When Bavarian salad cools down, transfer it to a salad bowl, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
