Cooking Recipe

For salad herring under a fur coat according to the recipe of Jewish cuisine, boil potatoes, beets and carrots in their skins. Separately boil hard-boiled eggs. Disassemble the herring into fillets, remove the bones and chop finely. Put a layer of herring on the bottom of the dish.

Peel the boiled potatoes, grate and spread evenly over the herring. Salt the potatoes and spread with mayonnaise.

Finely chop the onion and put it on top of the potato layer. You can smear with mayonnaise, but not necessarily.

Peel the apples, grate and put on top of the onion. Coat the apples with a layer of mayonnaise.

Next, put grated boiled carrots on the apples. And grease this layer with mayonnaise.

Peel the boiled eggs and finely chop or grate. Cover the layer of carrots with a layer of chopped eggs and grease again with mayonnaise.

The last layer of beets remained. Peel the boiled beets, grate and lay out in an even layer. Top the salad with mayonnaise and refrigerate for several hours, or better - for a day, so that the layers are properly saturated. Serve herring under a fur coat cold.
