Olive Oil 1-1,5 tbsp
Butter 1 tbsp
Dried Oregano 0,5 tsp

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for Spicy Turkey with Lemon and Garlic is very simple. In order for the turkey to rub well, its skin must be thoroughly dried. A kitchen towel will not dry as well as it should, so place the turkey on a rack and place it in a preheated oven at 160-180°C (320-355°F), for about 10 minutes. While the turkey is drying, prepare the garlic for roasting. Wash the garlic well, dry it and cut off the top. Place it in a heat-resistant bowl, sprinkle with spices, pour in olive oil and place a piece of butter on top and cover with foil. Cook the garlic in the oven for 30 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix all the dry spices and softened butter. Mix everything well until smooth. Wash the lemons well, dry and cut in half. Remove the turkey from the oven and do not turn off the oven.

Place the lemon halves inside the turkey and tie the legs with twine. Spread it with the prepared mixture. You can spread it with your hands or with a brush, if you couldn’t spread it evenly right away, it’s okay, after 10 minutes of heating the oil will be more pliable and with the help of a brush the spread can be distributed more evenly over the turkey. Bake turkey for approximately 3 hours, or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh will show 80-85°C (180-185°F).
