Potato roll with pasta is a recipe of Moldavian cuisine, such a dish can be prepared not only for everyday meals, it will also look very good on the festive table.

Potatoes 2 kg
Pasta 300 g
Eggs 8 pcs
Onion 4 pcs
Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp
Parsley 2-3 twigs

Cooking Recipe

For potato roll with pasta according to the recipe of Moldavian cuisine, peel the potatoes, rinse and boil in salted water. When the potatoes are cooked, drain the water, cover the potatoes with a lid and dry them over very low heat. Rub dried potatoes through a sieve, add 3 raw eggs, salt, ground pepper and mix well.

Boil macaroni in salted water until tender, boil 4 hard-boiled eggs, peel and finely chop. Mix chopped eggs with pasta and fried onions. Put the mass of potatoes in an even layer on a wet kitchen towel, put pasta with eggs in an even layer on top. Raising the edges of the towel, roll everything into a roll.

Grease a baking sheet, place the potato roll on it seam side down, brush with lightly beaten egg, sprinkle with grated cheese, make 4 holes and place in a preheated 200°C (390°F) oven. Bake potato roll for 15-20 minutes. When the roll has cooled slightly, cut it with a wet knife into portions and serve with tomato sauce, garnished with parsley sprigs.
