Rolmops is a traditional German dish. Rollmops can be prepared in advance, 2-3 days in advance, this will only make it tastier. Rollmops are served with remoulade sauce.

Recipe Ingredients

Mustard 3-4 tsp
Onion 1 pcs
For Marinade
Vinegar 9% 4 tbsp
Vegetable Oil 4 tbsp
Black Pepper 4 pcs
Water 1 cup

Cooking Recipe

For the rollmops recipe, cut the herring fillet lengthwise and beat off each piece. Smear the pieces of herring with mustard and sprinkle with an even layer of finely chopped onion.

Lay a thin slice of cucumber on top, roll into rolls. Lay the rolls tightly to each other and pour cold marinade. Refrigerate for 2-3 days to marinate. Serve rollmops with remoulade sauce and potatoes.
