Fish kutap in Armenia is made from trout, but you can cook from the fish you like best.

Recipe Ingredients

Mackerel 1.5 kg
Rice 100 g
Raisins 100 g
Ginger 1 tsp
Butter 1 tsp

Cooking Recipe

For a dish such as fish kutap boil rice with oil and mix with raisins and grated ginger. Clean the fish, remove the insides, but without cutting the belly. Grate the prepared fish carcass with salt, from the top and from the inside.

Stuff the fish and make cuts. Grease a baking sheet with oil, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, lay the fish and bake in the oven until tender. Fish kutap baking time depends on the carcass size.
