In Armenia, dolma is cooked not only from grape leaves. Dolma can be made from eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, quince, onions - and you can’t count everything.

Recipe Ingredients

Onion 200 g
Lamb 150 g
Rice 1 tbsp
Cherry Plum 2-3 pcs
Tomato Paste 2 tbsp
Butter 1 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For the onion dolma recipe, you need to cook the minced meat. Twist the meat in a meat grinder with onions, add chopped herbs, salt and pepper. Lightly fry the minced meat in oil, and then combine with boiled rice.

Cut off a thin layer of the root part from the peeled onion and put in boiling water. Let the onion cook for 3-5 minutes, then put it on a sieve. Disassemble the prepared onion into separate leaves, fill with minced meat and put in a saucepan.

Fry the tomato a little, dilute with broth and pour into a pan with onions. Put the cherry plum and simmer over low heat under the lid for 15-20 minutes. When serving, pour over dolma with the sauce formed after stewing.
