Creamy mashed potatoes with bacon - an American cuisine recipe, these potatoes can be prepared 1 day in advance, put all the ingredients in a mold, cover and put in the refrigerator. The next day, remove from the refrigerator and bake. The mashed potatoes in this recipe should not be perfect; there must be lumps left, otherwise it will be compressed and look like a layer of concrete.

Cream Cheese 230 g
Sour Cream 0,5 cups
Butter 0,5 cups
Milk 2 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Bacon is very simple. Cut the smoked pork belly into small pieces and fry until golden brown in a preheated frying pan. Place the cooked bacon in a sieve and allow excess fat to drain.

Peel and cut the potatoes into cubes, add water and boil until tender. Mash the boiled potatoes, but not until they are perfectly pureed; there should be lumps left. Add spices, butter, cream cheese and milk to the potatoes. Mix everything.

Grease a baking dish with oil, add potatoes and smooth out. Top with fried bacon and finely chopped green onions.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and place on top of all the products. Cover the potatoes with a lid or foil and place potatoes in a preheated room at 170-180°C (340-355 °F) for 30 minutes. Then remove the lid and cook for another 10 minutes.
