Chicken with chorizo is a Spanish recipe served with white rice or boiled potatoes.

Recipe Ingredients

Chicken 1 kg
Chorizo 150 g
Tomatoes 400 g
Olive Oil 4 tbsp
Onion 2 pcs
Garlic 6 cloves
Bay Leaf 1-2 pcs
Porto Wine 5 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

For the chicken with chorizo recipe, cut the chicken into pieces and remove the skin. Sprinkle the chicken with ground paprika and rub in evenly. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken on all sides until golden brown. When the chicken is completely cooked, transfer it to a deep baking dish.

In the pan in which the chicken was fried, add finely chopped onion and fry over medium heat for 5 minutes. Then add finely chopped garlic and chorizo, cut into thick slices, to the onion. Stir and fry for 2 more minutes. Pour the chopped tomatoes, bay leaf, pour in the wine, mix and simmer for 10 minutes.

Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, cover tightly with a lid and place in a preheated oven at 190-200°C (375-390°F) degrees. Bake chorizo chicken for 45 minutes. After cooking, the chicken should separate very well from the bone. Serve chicken with chorizo with white rice or boiled potatoes.
