Deruny, or Ukrainian draniki (potato fritters) is a delicious potato dish related to Ukrainian cuisine. But Belarusian cuisine offers a similar dish - draniki from potatoes.

Recipe Ingredients

Potatoes 1 kg
Onion 1 pcs
Chicken Eggs 1 pcs
Wheat Flour 2-3 tbsp
Soda 1 tsp
Kefir 1 tbsp

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for deruny (potato fritters) is very simple. Wash potatoes, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Add an egg, grated onion, flour, soda, kefir, salt and pepper.

Mix everything well and let stand for 5-10 minutes. After pancakes, fry in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown. Serve deruny with sour cream.
