Chicken with rosemary and tangerines - this recipe can go very well with a festive Christmas or New Year's table. Juicy chicken with the aroma of citrus and rosemary will create an atmosphere of celebration and comfort. At the same time as the chicken, the sauce is also prepared, which complements the taste of the chicken very well. When serving, sprinkle the chicken with the juice of baked tangerines and pour over the sauce.

Tangerine 3-5 pcs
Butter 100 g
Carrots 2-3 pcs
Onion 2 pcs
Petiole Celery 2-3 pcs
Bay Leaf 2-3 pcs
Thyme 1-2 twigs
Rosemary 1-2 twigs

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for chicken with rosemary and tangerines is very simple. Peel the carrots and cut into small slices. Peel the onion and also cut it as desired. Remove the veins from the celery and chop.

Wash the chicken, dry it with a kitchen towel, salt and pepper the inside. Place tangerines inside and cover the chicken with a sprig of rosemary. Coat the top of the chicken with butter and also add salt and pepper.

Place the chicken on a baking sheet and surround it with pre-prepared vegetables. Sprinkle with fresh thyme and place in an oven preheated to 200°C (390°F).

Bake the chicken with vegetables for 2-2.5 hours, depending on its weight. For 1 kg of chicken, 1 hour of baking.

Transfer the chicken to a dish, place the baked vegetables in a frying pan, add the broth that was obtained after cooking the chicken. Simmer vegetables over medium heat, covered, for 30 minutes.

When the vegetables become very soft, remove the bay leaf, mash the vegetables well in the liquid, and then strain. Chicken with tangerines is served warm, sprinkled with vegetable sauce and sprinkled with baked mandarin juice.
