To cook fennel baked with cheese, you will need a large fennel bulb. Cut off the feathers of the fennel, and cut the onion along the fibers into pieces 1 cm thick.
Boil the chicken broth, add the juice of two lemons, marjoram, bay leaf and chopped fennel. Cook fennel covered over medium heat for 30 minutes.
After the fennel is boiled, put it on a baking sheet, salt, pepper and sprinkle with grated or just chopped cheese. Bake at 200°C (390°F) until cheese is slightly browned.
When serving fennel baked with cheese you can garnish with fennel leaves or finely chopped dill.
