Murcian salad – this is a typical salad, one of the many traditionally prepared on the banks of the Segura (Murcia). It is a winter salad with a special personality, although it is eaten all year round. Each house has its own variations: cod instead of tuna, varying the proportions of ingredients, or more or less mashing tomatoes. In any case, it is important to use good quality tomatoes and butter and never forget about bread.

Cooking Recipe

The recipe for Murcian salad is very simple. Boil the potatoes in a peel, then peel and cut into small cubes.

Finely chop the tomatoes, remove seeds from sweet peppers and chop finely. Add chopped vegetables to potatoes.

Boil the eggs, peel and chop finely. Peel the onion and cut into thin half rings. Transfer everything to a bowl with the rest of the food.

Next, put the tuna in a bowl with prepared products, after draining the oil from it. If the tuna is in pieces in a jar, you can mash them with a fork. Add olives to the salad, season with salt, pour with olive oil and stir. Serve salad chilled with fragrant fresh bread.
