Toast with bacon and onions is a French cuisine recipe served hot with an aperitif. Such toasts are very easy and quick to prepare; the toasts will taste better if the baguette is not fresh, but slightly stale. If desired, you can add herbes de Provence or other spices, such as smoked paprika, to the onion and bacon mixture to bring out the smoky flavor of the bacon.

Mix bacon with onion and finely chopped parsley, add sour cream and stir. Slice the baguette and spread with the bacon and onion mixture. Grease the pan with butter, place the toast and place in an oven preheated to 200°C (390°F) for 15-20 minutes. Serve toast warm.
