Butter 200 g
Milk 150 ml
Soda 1 pinch
Imereti Saffron 1 pinch

Cooking Recipe

To cooke the shakar lokum recipe, grind softened butter, add powdered sugar and beat with a spatula. It is necessary to beat for 10-15 minutes, you can use a mixer with low speed. Without ceasing to beat, gradually pour in milk in parts, add soda, saffron and rub for another 10 minutes. Sift the flour and pour in small portions into the oil with the rest of the ingredients. Knead a smooth dough, cover it with a towel and let stand for a while (10 minutes).

After dividing the dough into two or three parts, form something like bread loaves out of it and put it on an oiled baking sheet. On the loaves, make deep cuts along the oblique and put in the oven.

Bake shakar lokum at 180°C (355°F) for 20 minutes. Remove the finished loaves from the oven, let cool, and then divide into cuts and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
